NEWS FLASH On Tuesday, November 7th, 2006 a devasting fire ravaged "the Artists gallery" gallery in Dennis. Ma. Most if not all of the artwork in the gallery has been either damged or destroyed. Seeing the sign on Main Street, follow the path between "The Children's Shop" and the "Anytime Cafe" to the gallery. Ample parking is available along Main Street, in the Chatham Town Hall parking lot and behind the buildings on Main Street. Chatham Village Gallery offers a wide variety of original Fine Art by award winning artists from Cape Cod and beyond. Works in OIl, Watercolor, Acrylic and Mixed Media are offered with subjects and styles ranging from traditional to contemporary. Thers is also a selection of reproductions and note cards by some of the Gallery Artists. Handmade Jewelry by long time Cape Cod jeweler Teresa Ellis Cetto compliments the fine art offerings avaliable and includes her copyrighted Horseshoe Crab designs. The Gallery is open daily 11am - 5 pm from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Spring and fall hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am - 5 pm and by chance or appointment. The gallery is closed form January 15th through April 15th. |
About the Artist ..... A New England native, Bruce grew up north of Boston. He has spent summers in Maine and on Cape Cod since early childhood. He lived on Cape Cod in Chatham and Yarmouth in the mid 1970’s. In 2000, he returned to live on the Cape and pursue his life long dream of painting full time. He currently resides in Chatham, Ma. Bruce studied at the “Vesper George School of Art” in Boston, Ma. Bruce works on many different subjects in Acrylics and Oils on various grounds. His work ranges from semi - abstract to more tightly rendered paintings. His paintings and photographs have been accepted for many open- juried exhibitions on Cape Cod. His work is in collections in Tennessee, Ohio, New York, Virginia and Florida as well as throughout New England. Bruce is also a photographer.
